Karthi feels Ranjith is the best choice to show ‘Thalaivar’ differently

Actor Karthi, a self-proclaimed huge fan of superstar Rajinikanth, has said that in his opinion, director Pa. Ranjith was the best in the business at present to show his ‘Thalaivar’ Rajini in a completely different light.

Shoot of Rajini’s next film, to be directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by ‘Kalaipuli’ S. Thanu, is to commence from next month. The script reportedly has Rajini essaying a don’s role and has been set in the backdrop of Malaysia.

Ever since the announcement about the film was made a few weeks back, Rajini’s millions of fans the world over have been impatiently for the film’s shoot to commence.

Ranjith, a former aide of Venkat Prabhu, has had the luck of directing Rajini in only his third film as a director. Leading actors such as Suriya, Arya, Vishal, Simbu,Hansika and Kajal Aggarwal had also expressed their wish to see the film get rolling soon.

Karthi, who starred in Ranjith’s critically acclaimed and commercially successfulMadras last year, is the latest to join the list of artistes hailing the Rajini-Ranjith film.

“I felt elated when Ranjith called me some time back and said he would be directing superstar Rajini Sir in his next film. I’m a huge fan of Rajini and was waiting to see ‘Thalaivar’ Rajini in never-before role for a long time. I feel Ranjith is the best director in business now to show Rajini in a very different backdrop,” Karthi said.
