Continuing Kollywood’s recently-found passion for horror films, here is another film of such genre. Daisy, for a change, has children as its main target audiences though it’s a film for all age groups.

While ‘ghosts’ entered the bodies of adults in films such as Kanchana and Aranmanai, for a change, the ‘ghost’ enters the body of a child in Daisy.

Shahmuga Sundaram and Mohammed Yaseen have jointly produced the film under their banner ‘Juna Pictures Pvt. Ltd.’ Debutant director Srinath Ramalingam has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film besides directing it.

A host of newcomers including Deepak Paramesh, Gunalan Mohan and AnithaReddy play prominent roles in the film whose script is based on some real life incidents. The film simultaneously drives home some sentimental messages too as it has an 8-yeal old girl child yearning for affection and love of its near and dear ones.

“It’s a film with a heavy dose of sentiment and is about the ‘ghost’ of an 8-year old girl which was robbed of the usual love and affection showered in girls.

Script is based on some real-life incidents I encountered personally. The theme drives home important messages for families managed by single parents,” says Ramalingam.
