Vijay to don three roles in Chimbu Deven’s Puli
Sources close to the Unit of Vijay’s upcoming film Puli say that the actor is likely to essay not one or two but three roles in it. If it happens to be true, it would be the first time in Vijay’s more than 20-odd years’ career that he would be donning a triple role in a film.
Chimbu Deven, known for making successful fantasy films such as Arai En 305-il Kadavul and Irumbukkottai Murattu Singam, is making Puli for the past few months. Shruti Haasan andHansika play Vijay’s heroines in the film which has a significant role for former Kollywood and Bollywood queen Sridevi who reportedly plays a princess in the film. Devi Sri Prasad is the film’s music director.
Contrary to earlier reports that Vijay plays a dual role in the film, it turns out that he plays a triple role in it. Vijay’s roles of a commander and a cartoonist were already revealed by his fans on the net. It is now said that the entire Unit is keeping mum on the third role by Vijay, which is said to be one of the film’s strong USP.
Vijay’s fans have also expressed displeasure at the title Puli but Simbudeven has so far said nothing about his idea of changing the title.
