Sundar C to make Rajini’s next action-comedy thriller?

Sundar C has now jumped into the fray comprising names of probable directors who might direct superstar Rajinikanth in his next film.

After last year’s Lingaa, which released on Rajini’s birthday on 12th December and courted post-release controversies when some distributors demanded and got compensation from Rajini, fans of superstar have been eagerly awaiting the announcement about the launch of his next film.

Shankar is said to be ‘ready’ with the script of Enthiran 2 to which Rajini hasn’t yet given the nod. Names of A.R. Murugadoss and K.S. Ravikumar (who made Lingaa) were also mentioned as directors who might direct Rajini in his next film. Now, Sundar C’s name is also being mentioned.

Sundar made the 1997 super-duper hit Arunachalam, which remains one of the top-grossing Rajini films till date. It ran for more than 200 days in many Centres.

It now appears that the duo of Rajini and Sundar might join hands after 18 long years. It is also said that Rajini’s past few films had either been historical (period-type) films or action-packed serious films.

Rajini is said to be favouring Sundar, known for his comic sense, to make his next film which he wants to be full of comic sequences and with little bit of action too.

It may be recalled that some time back Rajini met ‘Crazy’ Mohan, who co-authored the screen-play of Arunachalam, and asked him to prepare a script for him!
