Ranjith to keep Rajini’s punch-dialogues apolitical in new film?

Even as Pa. Ranjith, the surprise director of superstar Rajini’s next film, is almost nearing the scripting process, rumours say that he is working for the film on strict instructions from the producer to adhere to Rajini’s advices on punch dialogues.

Ranjith’s untitled film would be Rajini’s first in 2015 after last year’s Lingaa. On his part, Rajini is also making some changes in the mode of getting his fee to star in the film.

For the past few years, Rajini had not been taking any specific sum as his fee but instead had been getting a fixed percentage of the profit of the films. This provided opportunities to the distributor to knock at Rajini’s doors in case the film did only average business.

For his new film which is to be produced by ‘Kalaipuli’ S. Thanu, Rajini has decided to take an (un)specified sum as his fee so that he doesn’t get affected by the film’s release and distribution issues.

Instructions have also been given to Ranjith to look for a most suitable heroine opposite Rajini as there were criticisms in certain quarters against Rajini pairing up opposite heroines who were less than half his age.

Names of Vidya Balan, the national award-winning Bollywood heroine, and a few other names from across the Vindhyas are being cited as possible heroine opposite Rajini in the film though nothing has been finalized as yet.

As ‘punch dialogues’ are inevitable in a film, Ranjith has been instructed by Rajini to keep the ‘punches’ apolitical as far as possible!
