Atlee’s mega remuneration for Vijay 59

Director Atlee is just one film old. But, the hit he has given in Raja Rani made the entire trade happy and he was signed by Vijay and Kalaipuli S Thanu for his next film Vijay 59.

Reliable sources in the industry peg the salary of Atlee at close to Rs 3.5 crores for the film which will go on floors from next month.

For a sophomore film, this might be the biggest remuneration for a young director in Tamil cinema in recent times. The film, starring Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal, in the leads, is slated to hit screens for Pongal 2015.
